Ivy House at Tonbridge

Ivy House at Tonbridge – Dinning Room & Bar

When Dan’s family company purchased the Ivyhouse in March 2009, the pub had suffered years of neglect and so they set about transforming a run-down boozer into a dining room & bar that would stop people in their tracks. Many tins of paint and a few quid later the result oozes character and style. “We love it and hope you will too” says Dan, who runs the business.

The Ivyhouse is Tonbridge’s own little gem and is, to quote a regular, ‘the perfect addition to the Tonbridge social scene – my local pub and my local restaurant all rolled into one’

A small bar, with a roaring fire at one end and a traditional dining room spiked with modern touches at the other make it a venue of two halves and one that welcomes the drinkers as well as the diners. A patio terrace provides the perfect spot for guests to enjoy the outdoors in the warmer months too.

The grade II listed Ivyhouse is situated conveniently at the top end of Tonbridge high street and has private parking for customers.

The “line” between customers and friends is a hazy one at The Ivyhouse as Dan, Polly, and their front of house man Digby are perfect hosts. Their enthusiasm and passion for The Ivyhouse is reflected in the warm welcome and genuine pleasure attended to all customers.
