Dan and Polly are passionate about wine, they love it. With this in mind, the marriage of the food and wine at The Ivyhouse is seen as integral by the couple, one complimenting the other.
Each wine is chosen to reflect the very best that is available. They are placed on the list for their ability to partner different food in different ways, bringing another dimension of enjoyment to your meal. “The list changes almost weekly as different parcels of wine sell through” explains Dan.
Ivyhouse wines are bought entirely independently by the company’s own wine buyer, Nick Stebbing-Allen, who, with his wealth of experience, is able to "cherry-pick" from the very best suppliers, both locally, nationally and internationally. “Because I am buying for the group I can get access to some fantastic deals” Nick explains, “ the wine’s you can enjoy at the Ivy House are unlikely to be found elsewhere locally” he adds.

Representing excellent value at all price ranges, the wines and champagnes can be chosen with confidence with an extensive list by the glass as well as by the bottle.
We also have an impressive and growing list of fine and rare wines from our private cellars. These are wines bought and collected over the years in very small quantities. They are often exceptional, unusual to find and always worth a try.
